Voucher Type
This product provides an Exam Voucher with Retake authorizing one attempt at the JSE™ – Certified Entry-Level JavaScript Programmer exam, plus a one-time retake if the first attempt is not passed.
Retake note: If your first attempt is unsuccessful, a retake voucher is issued automatically to your TestNow™ account. The retake requires a minimum 7-day waiting period and must be used within 90 days from the date of the failed attempt. Retake vouchers cannot be issued for absences, policy violations, or other disqualifying circumstances defined in the Testing Policies.

The exam voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed before expiration.

This product includes an Exam Voucher with retake for the JSE™ – Certified Entry-Level JavaScript Programmer exam, plus access to the JSE™ Practice Test Kit with JSE-40-01-aligned practice tests and exam readiness tools.
The JSE™ exam confirms that a candidate can write and debug small JavaScript programs using core language features, including variables and data types, operators, dialog-based user interaction, control flow, functions and callbacks, and basic exception handling and troubleshooting.
The exam consists of 30 single-select and multiple-select questions and has a duration of 45 minutes (including tutorial and NDA time).
The exam content is divided into six blocks:
- Basics of JavaScript and Computer Programming (8%)
- Variables, Data Types, and Type Casting (20%)
- Operators and User Interaction (18%)
- Control Flow – Conditional Execution and Loops (21%)
- Functions (21%)
- Errors, Exceptions, Debugging, and Troubleshooting (12%)
The JSE™ Practice Test Kit offers exam-style practice tests and readiness tools that mirror the official blueprint and difficulty level, helping candidates build confidence, identify weaker areas, and prepare effectively for both the initial attempt and any retake.
