It confirms the holder’s ability to navigate digital environments confidently, manage files and applications, connect to networks, use digital tools effectively for communication and collaboration, troubleshoot common technology issues, and apply best practices for cybersecurity and responsible digital engagement. Additionally, it emphasizes awareness of the environmental and health impacts of digital technology while promoting mindful use.

The certification covers the following topic areas:

  1. Digital Awareness (25%)
  2. Using Computers & Mobile Devices (25%)
  3. Creating, Communicating & Collaborating Online (25%)
  4. Safety & Security (25%)

The OpenEDG Digital Literacy Certification can be obtained by passing the Digital Literacy DL-00-101 exam or by successfully completing all four milestone assessments:

  • Creating, Communicating & Collaborating DL-00-C01
