Voucher Type
This product provides an Exam Voucher with Retake that authorizes one exam attempt plus one retake if the first attempt is not passed (retake issued automatically to the candidate’s TestNow™ account; minimum 7-day wait; retake must be used within 90 days).
Voucher Validity
The exam voucher is valid for 12 months from the purchase date, and the first attempt must be completed within this period. Once redeemed, vouchers cannot be reused, transferred, or extended.

Redemption Instructions
Redeem the voucher in the TestNow™ online testing system when scheduling the exam. Create a TestNow account, select the exam, and enter the voucher code at checkout to confirm your session.
Exam Delivery Channel
The exam is delivered exclusively via TestNow™, the OpenEDG Python Institute’s secure online proctoring platform supporting remote and authorized center-based testing.

The PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer exam is the first certification in the Python Institute’s General-Purpose Programming pathway. It evaluates a candidate’s ability to recognize and apply essential programming concepts, implement control flow structures, work with Python data collections, and define and handle functions and exceptions.
The exam consists of 30 items (single-select, multiple-select, and scenario-based questions) and has a duration of 45 minutes.
The scope of the exam is distributed across four domains:
- Computer Programming and Python Fundamentals (18%)
- Control Flow – Conditional Blocks and Loops (28%)
- Data Collections – Lists, Tuples, Dictionaries, and Strings (26%)
- Functions and Exceptions (28%)
