Voucher Type
This product provides an Exam Voucher with Retake authorizing one exam attempt plus a one-time retake if the first attempt is not passed. The retake is issued automatically to the candidate’s TestNow™ account after a failed result, requires a minimum 7-day waiting period, and must be used within 90 days.
Retake note: The one-time retake voucher can be used only if the first attempt is not passed and cannot be applied in cases of absence, policy violations, or other disqualifying circumstances defined in the Testing Policies.
Voucher Validity
The exam voucher is valid for 12 months from the purchase date, and the first attempt must be completed within this period. Once redeemed, vouchers cannot be reused, transferred, or extended.

The exam is delivered exclusively through TestNow™, the Python Institute’s secure online proctoring platform supporting both remote and authorized testing-center sessions.
Redemption Instructions
Redeem your voucher in the TestNow™ online testing system – sign in, go to Certification, select Take Exam, and enter your voucher code to confirm your session. To save it for later, use Assign Voucher.

This product includes an Exam Voucher for one attempt at the PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer exam, plus a one-time retake voucher that becomes available only if the first attempt is not passed.
The PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer exam is the first certification in the Python Institute’s General-Purpose Programming pathway. It verifies a candidate’s ability to work with fundamental programming concepts, apply control flow structures, operate on core Python data collections, and define and handle functions and exceptions.
The exam consists of 30 single-select, multiple-select, interactive, and scenario-based questions, and has a duration of 45 minutes.
The exam content is divided into four domains:
- Computer Programming and Python Fundamentals (18%)
- Control Flow – Conditional Blocks and Loops (28%)
- Data Collections – Lists, Tuples, Dictionaries, and Strings (26%)
- Functions and Exceptions (28%)
