Voucher Type
This product provides an Exam Voucher with Retake authorizing one exam attempt plus one retake if the first attempt is not passed.
Retake note: If you fail the exam, a retake option will become available in your TestNow™ account after the required waiting period defined in the PCAT Testing Policies. Retake eligibility is not granted in cases of absence, policy violations, or other disqualifying circumstances.
Voucher Validity
The exam voucher is valid for 12 months from the purchase date and must be redeemed before expiration. Expired vouchers cannot be replaced or refunded.

The exam is delivered exclusively via TestNow™, the official OpenEDG Python Institute exam platform for secure remote and authorized testing-center sessions.
Redemption Instructions
Redeem your voucher in TestNow™ — sign in, switch to your Test Candidate profile, open Certification, select Take Exam, and enter your voucher code to schedule and launch your session. After an unsuccessful first attempt and the waiting period, use the options in your Exam History to activate the retake.

This product includes an Exam Voucher with Retake that authorizes one attempt at the PCAT™ – Certified Associate Tester with Python exam, plus a one-time retake option if the first attempt is not passed. The exam is delivered via TestNow™.
The PCAT™ certification confirms that candidates understand core software testing concepts, can work with Python-based testing tools and patterns, and are ready to apply unit testing, advanced test techniques, and TDD/BDD principles in real-world projects.
The exam consists of 42 questions (single-select, multiple-select, and scenario-based items) and has a duration of 60 minutes.

- Test Automation and Code Refactoring (9.5%)
- Assertions, Context Managers, Decorators, and Python Methods (11.9%)
- Foundations of Unit Testing (28.6%)
